CARL W. BALLERSTEIN, 82, went home to Our Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014, in Vero Beach, FL. He was born on December 21, 1931, in Wellsville, NY. He was a devoted husband and father, and beloved by his large close family. Carl served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from Alfred Tech College and was in Hospital Administration in Lockport, NY, East Liverpool, OH and Romney, WV. He retired to Whitesville, NY and then to Vero Beach, FL in 1996.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlotte; daughters, Carol (Frank) of Federal Way, WA; Gail (Rich) of Vero Beach, FL; Karen (Anthony) of Crestview, FL; sons, Alan of Wellsville, OH; Kurt (Tracey) of Clyde, NY; stepson, Mark (Debbie) Bonner of Williamsville, NY; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his only remaining sister, Ruth Stisser of Wellsville, NY and his friend Tammy. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothea Ballerstein, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1850 6th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.The family request that memorial contributions be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1850 6th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960 or VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. EVELYN MATULONIS, 87, of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. Mrs. Matulonis had been a resident of Vero Beach for 26 years, coming from Massapequa Park, NY. Prior to her retirement, she was a Registered Nurse, working for Dr. Edward Underwood in Massapequa, NY. She was a lover of nature, a birdwatcher and organic gardener and of course, a great cook!

Evelyn was the widow of Anthony Matulonis (married 61 years); her survivors include three loving children, Sandra, Mark and Paul; sister-in-law, Helen Matulonis of Maspeth, NY; and grandchildren, Erica, Dustan, Braden and Justin. No services have been scheduled at this time. www.coxgiffordseawinds.com (3/21/14)

FRANK SOLLECITO, 85, of Vero Beach, Florida died, March 17, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center.He was born February 5, 1929 in Providence, RI and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Sollecito was of the Catholic Faith. He worked most of his career as a self-employed plastering contractor in North Providence and Grand Cayman. Mr. Sollecito retired to Vero Beach in 2001 and most recently worked at the Hampton Inn. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his retirement years traveling and golfing. He was a former member of the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, RI.

Mr. Sollecito is survived by his sons, Tom Sollecito and his wife Valerie of North Providence, RI and Frank Sollecito, Jr. of Florida; sister, Esther Dingman and nephew, Dennis Dingman both of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Thomas Sollecito, Jr., Genna M. Sollecito, Frank Sollecito, III, and Stephen Sollecito. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M. Sollecito in 1983; daughter, Gina Marie Sollecito; sisters, Madeline Beretta and Elsie Decristofaro.

FRANK SULLIVAN, 74, died March 20, 2014 at his residence in Sebastian. Mr. Sullivan was born in Belfry, KY. He was a longtime resident of Lakewood Park and has lived in Sebastian for the past 8 years. 

He worked for General Motors where he was a fork lift operator for 8 years before his retirement in 1971. Mr. Sullivan was affiliated with Cornerstone Baptist Fellowship, Sebastian, FL. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1822, Vero Beach, FL.

Survivors include wife of 55 years, Sandra Sullivan of Sebastian; son, David Sullivan and wife, Tammy of Bonifay, FL and Danny Sullivan and his wife, Lisa of Portland, Indiana; daughter, Debbie Sullivan Combs of Sebastian, daughter-in-law Christy Jefford; granddaughters, Danielle Sullivan, Dana Sullivan, Shannon Randall and Tara Carson; grandsons, Preston Sullivan, Caleb Sullivan and Joel Randall; great grandsons, Dustin Reed, David Lawson and Chaseten Reed; brothers, Carl Sullivan, Troy Sullivan and Roy Sullivan, sisters Barbara Hohl, Brenda Wells and Connie Harris. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Doug Sullivan; grandson, Josh Carver; brother, Wayne Sullivan; sisters, Frances Blackburn and Donna Bloomfield.
