JOHNNIE MAE LIGHTNER, 86, of Wabasso, FL, passed away on March 23, 2014. Johnnie Mae Gardner Lightner died March 23, 2014 in Gainesville, FL. She was born 89 years ago in Dothan AL., to the late Mr. Auther Gardner and Mrs. Mary Eliza Mills. In 1951 she married her late husband Reuben Lightner. In 1952 her family moved to Wabasso Fl., where she raised her children and grand children. Her doors were always open to the kids in the neighborhood. Johnnie was a housewife, devoted mother and loving grand, great-grand, and great-great grandmother. Mrs. Lightner joined Faith Temple Evangelistic Church where she served faithfully until she moved. Mrs. Lightner and her late husband Reuben Lightner moved to Gainesville in 1998 to live with their daughter Carolyn.

JAMES GRANT PRICE, 72, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 9 years, coming from Boca Raton, FL. He was a Vice President and Trust Officer of Suntrust for over 40 years.
Mr. Price is survived by his daughter, Susan (Timothy) Maierhofer of Elon, N.C., son, Daniel (Sandra) Price of Boca Raton, FL; 5 Grandchildren, Kimberly and Steven Maierhofer of Elon; Grant, Spencer and Leila Price of Boca Raton. He is predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Lois Ann Price.
A private memorial service, for immediate family, will be held 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
