NICOLE KATHLEEN DERRICK, 41, passed away on April 7, 2014 at her home in Vero Beach, FL. She was born on May 21, 1972, the daughter of Karl and Linda Russ. Nicole was a beautiful lady and a great, loving wife. She will be missed by many, including her husband with whom she had a loving relationship with for over 15 years.
Nicole was a woman with a special light about her. She was always seen with a smile upon her face and always giving her whole heart into every project she was completing.
She enjoyed many hands on activities such as gardening and ceramics. She also enjoyed carpentry. Along with her husband, they built a workshop for their many artistries that they enjoyed together. ROBERT HRISCENKO, died April 3, 2014 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Passaic, NJ, lived in Garfield, NJ and moved to Vero Beach from Fairlawn, NJ in 2003.
Robert was a member of the Catholic Faith and was a talented and wonderful artist.

MELVIN EDWARD LOUDERMILK JR., 74, of Fort White, FL died April 4, 2014 at his home in Fort White. Melvin was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Fort White, FL 10 years coming from Fellsmere, FL. He worked as a Machinist for Piper Aircraft, Vero Beach, FL before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Eva Loudermilk of Fort White, FL; sons, Melvin Ray Loudermilk of Vero Beach, FL, Alan Loudermilk of West Palm Beach, FL and Patrick Loudermilk of Costa Rica; daughter, Tina Crockett of Columbus, OH; brother, Mike Loudermilk of Vero Beach, FL; sister Jeanette Suit of Palm Bay, FL; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Melvin was preceded in death by his brothers Kenny and Fred Loudermilk.

EUGENE GORDON MOODY passed away at home in Vero Beach, Florida on April 8, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1925. After serving in the US Army during WW II in Japan, he was married to Lois McAllister in Oak Park, Illinois. They were married for 53 years and raised three children. Lois predeceased him in 2003 and they are survived by their daughters Martha Moody Glassmeyer and Janet Moore of Vero Beach and Patricia Moody of Raleigh, North Carolina, and two grandchildren Andrew Gordon McCullagh and Porter Ellen Moore. He is also predeceased by a brother, William Moody.
Gene graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a lifelong Michigan fan where he lettered in Track and Field every year and graduated with academic honors. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan in 1949. He served as City Manager of Freemont, Michigan and of Bloomington, Illinois. In 1964 he was elected President of the Illinois City Managers Association. He was an active member of his community having been President of the Rotary Club of Bloomington, Elder in his church and referee of high school basketball and baseball games. The family moved to the St. Louis Area where he was Executive Director of the St. Louis, Missouri-Illinois Council of Government for ten years. The Moodys spent their retirment years in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
After his wife’s passing, Gene moved to Vero Beach to be closer to family. He volunteered at the local hospital, was a member of the First United Methodist Church and participated as a Range Rider for the Florida City and County Management Association. Gene was a stellar husband, father and human being. He traveled widely, read voraciously, and was unfaillingly respectful of everyone he encountered. He contributed greatly to the progress and public life of every community he lived in. He is missed by his grateful family.

HELEN NICHOLSON, 97, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in her home.
Helen was born July 27, 1916 in Camden, NJ, the daughter of Walter and Bertha Read. She graduated from Camden High School in 1936 and immediately joined the work force. She became a bookkeeper and worked for a bank and Mobil Oil for 25 years before retiring in 1971 from its Philadelphia Offices.
On September 4, 1954, Helen married Charles D. Nicholson, Jr., a blessed union of 53 years. When Charlie retired in 1979 they sold their house in Cherry Hill, NJ and moved, in September 1980, to the Village Green community, Poinciana, in Vero Beach where she lived for 30 years. Helen lived in the Isles of Vero Beach for 4 years.
Helen is survived by her dear friends, Richard and Ruth Horton. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie in 2007.

JOHN A. O’BRIEN, 80, died April 6, 2014 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in Newark, New Jersey and lived in Sebastian for 30 years coming from Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania. He retired from Exxon Corporation as a Gas Station Manager.

RUTH A. SCHAMING, 92, of Spanish Lakes, Fort Pierce, FL passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at her home. Ruth was born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and moved to Spanish Lakes in 1984 from Pompano Beach, FL. She had been a teacher in Pennsylvania prior to her retirement.
