Letter to the Editor: Is Vero Beach’s 32963’s reporting selective?

I was disturbed to read an article in the April 17 issue of Vero Beach 32963, which was a clear attempt to denigrate Dr. Tim Ioannides.

Dr. Ioannides saved my life from melanoma, which was ignored by my previous dermatologist. Melanoma is a major skin cancer killer. If Dr. Ioannides had not properly diagnosed this, my life would surely have been shortened.

My granddaughter recently visited, needed some skin care due to a rash caused by a type one Diabetes glucose monitor and Dr. Ioannides provided a free solution on 1 day’s notice.

Interestingly, Vero Beach 32963’s writer admits a lack of knowledge on the details of work and costs associated with medical treatments.

Further, I was told, but have not confirmed, that at least one of their advertisers, who was not mentioned in the article, is also a recipient of substantial Medicare reimbursements. Surely they would not stoop so low as to cast one of their non-advertisers in a negative light, while protecting others, who just happen to be spending money with them. – Brad Marshall
