NEWS RELEASE
In the early morning hours of April 30th, detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) unit executed a search warrant at a hotel in the 900 block of US 1 in Vero Beach. During the search, detectives recovered Alprazolam (Xanax) pills, a loaded syringe, spoons containing drug residue, a digital scale, a small amount of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.
William Watson (34) and Calista Krasotkin (30) were both arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of Alprazolam (Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana under twenty grams. Krasotkin was also discovered to have two active warrants for violation of probation out of Indian River County. One violation was for possession of alprozolam and oxycodone, and the second was for organized fraud less than $20,000.00.
During a search at the jail, detectives located five small bags of powder cocaine and marijuana concealed in Watson’s sock. Watson was charged with the cocaine and marijuana as well as introduction of contraband into a detention facility. Krasotkin is currently being held without bond, while Watson remains incarcerated on $26,000.00 bond.
Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, “With the recent human trafficking case and arrest of Solomon, we are keeping a keen eye on our hotels for illegal activity. We will not tolerate this type of activity in Indian River County.”
