The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Idea Garden Advertising was the 2014 recipient of a Hermes Creative Award, Gold Level, for outstanding performance in the layout, design and content of the Chamber’s “2014 Who’s Who in Indian River County Business.”
Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, graphic design shops, production companies, web and digital creators and freelancers.
“We have always taken pride in our Who’s Who in Indian River County Business publication” stated Penny Chandler, Chamber President. “Our local publisher, Idea Garden, has been innovative in layout and design and is deserving of this special recognition” Chandler added.
The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, web and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
Judging is conducted by industry professionals who look for publications exceeding a high standard of excellence and whose work can serve as a benchmark for the marketing, communication, advertising, public relations and print media industries.
“We are so honored to be selected for this industry award,” said Donna Roberts Mitchell of Idea Garden. “The Who’s Who Guide provides vital information about our community. It is humbling to be judged to be one of the best of the best among this international group of peers” added her business partner, Sally Dillon.
The award competition has grown to one of the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. The competition is so well thought of in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.
The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce represents the business community by providing services, benefits and leadership for positive growth and change.
