Wilson wrong about so many things

truth squadBy now, the self-described Professor of Political Baloney, Charlie Wilson, must have stretch marks on his bulbous nose for all the falsehoods he serves up on WTTB each Tuesday morning.  Today, for example, Wilson falsely claimed Inside Vero is not distributed through local Publix stores.  As with so much of what rolls of Wilson’s silver tongue, his malicious claim is simply not true.  Bob Soos and WTTB station manager, Jim Davis, either know or should not better that to allow Wilson to mislead and misinform their listeners week after week.

As of March 11, Inside Vero contracted with Dominion Distribute for the right to circulate our monthly news magazine through the free publication stands in each of five Publix stores, including the store on Miracle Mile, two stores on US Highway One, the Publix located at Oslo Road and 43rd Avenue, as well as the Ryanwood Plaza Publix at 58th Avenue and State Road 60.  Last month alone, Inside Vero circulated more than 500 copies through Publix stores.

secret lifeBecause Wilson cannot stand scrutiny and accountability, he clearly does not wish Inside Vero well.  Last September, Wilson reached an all-time low, even for himself, when he wrote Inside Vero’s advertisers urging a boycott of the publication.

Wilson is a former Vero Beach City Council member who was removed from office after just one month.  Wilson’s exceedingly short stent on the Council ended when a judged concluded the silver tongued orator from St. Lucie County had stretched the bounds of reason and logic by claiming to have met the residency requirements to run for a seat on the Council.

truth takes a beatingBefore and after being elected and then removed from the Vero Beach City Council, Wilson ran unsuccessfully for the Indian River County Commission, the School Board and the Hospital District. Wilson also ran unsuccessfully for public office in St. Lucie County.  The former St. Lucie County resident came to Vero Beach and Indian River County in the 1980s, and brought with him a level of negativity and an apparent addiction to controversy that has done even more than the island weekly to poison political discourse in our community.

According to City Clerk Tammy Vock, Wilson picked up the papers necessary to qualify to run in the City Council election to be held in November.  If Wilson is planning on another run for public office, that may explain why he appears before the cameras at nearly every Council meeting. Anyone who enjoys a circus should tune in. Wilson’s regular clown act is something to behold.

  1. Believe it or not, the Publix in Ryanwood Plaza is where I picked up my Inside Vero publication just two days ago so,….I was just as surprised as you were to here him say that you were lying about getting Inside Vero distributed at the Publix stores. Here’s a good political expression that should be used regarding Charlie Wilson. If he lies about your Publix distribution, he probably is lying about everything else he says about you too.

  2. I only suspect Charlie Wilson is lying when his lips are moving. Sadly for him, it seems Wilson actually believes what he says, which suggests a condition that cannot be remedied by an embrace of ethics and morality.

  3. Perhaps Mr. Wilson or one of his associates checked for InsideVero at Publix stores in north county. It would go along with his inability to speak beyond half-truths. Sadly, 1490 AM appears to be following the pursuit of sensationalism.

  4. Mark, What is the most northern Publix store where I can get this publication? I live in Sebastian.

  5. Miracle Mile, 58th Ave. and US One, US One and 12th Street, US One and Oslo, and Oslo and 43rd Ave.
