Water Ventures mobile lab to visit the Environmental Learning Center

ELC - waterventures lab

NEWS RELEASE

Coming to the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) in mid-June: Water Ventures’ traveling science center, a 53-foot semi-trailer customized to provide hands-on exhibits that focus on the how and why of water as it moves through our lives. Both indoor and outdoor Learning Lab stations cover topics ranging from Florida’s aquifers, watersheds and wetlands to the water cycle and water conservation, “the wonders of the water molecule,” the hydrology of Florida’s water systems and how water is shared world-wide.

The mobile lab’s staff will be on hand to tailor the learning experience for all ages, from pre-schoolers to adults. The goal: to understand, appreciate and respect Florida’s water resources.

The dates of the lab’s visits at the ELC are Thursday, June 12 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm; Saturday, June 14 from 11 am – 12 noon; Tuesday, June 17 from 12 noon – 2 pm; and Wednesday, June 18 from 12 noon – 2 pm. Reservations are not necessary.
