
School District of Indian River County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Frances J. Adams, announced to School Board members this morning that she has made the decision to retire at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
Dr. Adams has served as Superintendent of Schools since June 28, 2011. Prior to her appointment as Superintendent, she was the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary School Principal, High School Principal, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Middle School Assistant Principal, Coordinator of Staff Development, and Elementary Teacher in the School District of Indian River County. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Florida Atlantic University Master’s Program in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Adams stated, “I wanted to let everyone know my plans now, so that there is ample time for the Board to search for my replacement.”
