The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will present favorites from the Great White Way with “The Best of Broadway” at 7pm on Saturday August 9th at The Scott Center at Holy Trinity and at 3pm on Sunday, August 10th at the Vero Beach Performing Arts Center.
The audience will journey from the glamour of the silver screen to the excitement of Broadway’s greatest hits in a program featuring classics from South Pacific, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, and more. Featured selections will be accompanied by on-screen film footage, and returning soloist Beth Green will dazzle as she sings “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables.
Aaron shares some thoughts.
“Just about everyone can name their favorite Broadway show,” said Collins. “Many of them were made into movie musicals and earned a place in our collective hearts. We’ll be showing film clips from some of the best of those and Beth Green will be stunning as always. People who come expecting to hear their favorites won’t be disappointed.”
$20 advance tickets for adults are available through the orchestra website. Tickets at the door are $25. Children and students 18 and under are free. For more information, call toll free to 855-252-7276.
