RHONDA GEE GERVASIO, 61, passed away August 11, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rhonda was born to Robert and Mary Belcher Gee on February 1, 1953, in New Castle, Indiana. She relocated to Vero Beach in 1975 and met her soul mate and love of her life, Tony Gervasio, Sr.. During her life she worked as a dental hygienist, waitress and office manager for her husband, Tony. They worked together for over twenty-five years in the electrical contracting business. She was truly the wind beneath his wings, always encouraging and supporting him through their life together.
She is survived by and will always be in the hearts of her loving husband of thirty-six years, Tony, daughter Mellissa Gervasio, son Anthony (Christy) Gervasio, Jr.; her brother Gary (Pam) Gee; grandchildren Paul Washington, Emily(Josh) Patton, and Mia Gervasio, two great children, sister-in-law Donna (Charles) Festo, her brother-in law Ralph (Jacquie) Gervasio, Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no memorial services. Friends and family are encouraged to make donations to the VNA of the Treasure Coast in her memory. (8/14/14)
EARL E. KIRCHNER, 86, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on August 9, 2014 at Grace Rehabilitation Center of Vero Beach. Mr. Kirchner was born April 3, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to John and Florence Kirchner. He moved to Vero Beach from Mendota Heights, MN a little over 17 years ago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ila Kirchner. Daughter Virginia Kirchner; sons, Stephen, Bruce, Brian, and Richard; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2365 Pine Avenue, Vero Beach, Fl. A memorial service will be held in Minnesota at a later time. REUBEN LANE, 70, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on August 8, 2014. The book of life was opened for Deacon Reuben Alfred Lane October 28, 1943, in Vero Beach, Florida. He was the first child of Mrs. Anna Lee Lane and the late Deacon Alfred Lane. He began his walk with Christ at Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church and later joined St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church. Here he served as a deacon and treasurer. Throughout his life, he proved to be a dedicated servant for Christ.
Reuben was a 1961 graduate of Gifford High School. He continued his studies at Paine College in Augusta, GA, where he earned his BA in social studies. While in College, he met the love of his life, Hattie Marie Jackson. In 1967, the two were joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union three children were born: Kenneth Sean, Anna Maria, and their daughter who preceded him in death, Katisha Monique.
He served 2 years in the military as a communication specialist, returning home to start his career as a teacher for both Vero Beach Junior and Senior High School. In addition to being an educator, he served Indian River County as the owner and operator of Reuben Lane Lawn Maintenance. He was a member of several community organizations and served on the executive boards for the American Red Cross, Equal Opportunity Council, and Dollars for Scholars. He retired from teaching December 1995 and began serving with the Indian River County Retired Educators Association, and he served as president for a number of years. He enjoyed traveling, supporting his alma mater, photography, and spending time with his family.
On Friday, August 8, 2014, his work on earth was completed and he was granted rest from his labor by our Lord and Savior.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Hattie Marie Lane; a son: Kenneth Sean (Terri) Lane; a daughter, Anna Maria (Lerod) Wilson; five grandchildren: Brenda, Kenneth Jr., Le’Anna, Lerod Jr., and Zachary. He is also survived by his mother, Anna L. Lane; a brother: Johnny (Claudia) Lane; two nieces: Dr. Latoya Lane, and Maxine Lane; One nephew: Johnny A. Lane; three god-children: Andrevious (Sherica) Jefferson, Veronica Parrish, and Pastor James (Toccara) Byrd, five brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, and sorrowing friends. JAMES F. MURPHY, 80, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on August 9, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. Mr. Murphy was born February 1, 1934, in Milwaukee, WI to James and Margaret Murphy. He was a resident of Vero Beach, for 18 years, coming from Wisconsin. James graduated with a degree in journalism from Marquette University and started his career with Catholic Publications Hi-Time Magazine.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Joann Murphy. Survivors include sons, Joseph B. Murphy, Martin P. Murphy, Matthew K. Murphy, and Pat Murphy; daughter, Mary C. Murphy; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

PAUL W. SHOEMAKER, beloved husband of Mildred Ann (Dolly) Shoemaker served a 40 year career in Aviation as a Navy test pilot and an executive of United Airlines. He was born in Pennsylvania, educated at Susquehanna University, US Navy Flight School and American Air Lines Command School. Paul was a lifetime member of Flagler Museum of Palm Beach, a member of the Masonic Order and the Shriners. He was of the Protestant faith. Private services will be held. PAULLINE STAFFIERI, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away August 9,2014 at Indian River Medical Center. She was born August 12, 1928, in New York, New York and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 13 years, coming from Belmont, NY. Mrs. Staffieri was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and making silk flower arrangements.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Dominick, Joseph Jr., and Robert; sister, Gemma Parrosti; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph Staffieri and her daughter, Tina Ann Staffieri.
