While Nero is fiddling – Rome is burning. That is the expression that came to my mind when I picked up my Pee Pee Jay and read the X-Lemmonator this morning. And, here is what I mean.

This town is burning up with slick attack ads on several candidates and all we got from the Pee Pee Jay columnist is how much money and how much support City Council Candidate Randy Olds is getting. Now, don’t get me wrong, what the X-Lemmonator had to say about Randy Olds and his slight dig at the old “boondoggle” Mayor, Mary Beth McDonald were correct, however, Randy Olds is not on the ballot…yet. Randy Olds and all of our other “old” time friends will soon have their shot at the spotlight for the November general election when their names are placed on the ballot, but for now….let’s concentrate on the August 26^th election which is now in progress with early voting and absentee voting.
