Lemmon drop a bit misleading

For those who may have read the “lemmon droppings” Russ Lemmon served up today, don’t be confused by the taste of misreporting. Contrary to Lemmon’s reporting, Charles Searcy is not running for the District 3 seat on the Indian River County School Board. He is running against Randy Heimler for the District 4 seat.

Lemmon predicted a win for the Press Journal endorsee, Searcy, the only one of four candidates from whom Lemmon included a quote in his column. Nothing biased there!

Unlike Lemmon, we’ll avoid predicting the outcome of the School Board election to be held this Tuesday.

An InsideVero reader poll with 96 votes, showed Heimler leading Searcy 61 percent to 30 percent, with 9 percent undecided.  In the District 1 race between incumbent Karen Disney-Brombach led challenger Shawn Frost in InsideVero’s reader poll 74 percent to 18 percent, with 8 percent undecided.

  1. Apparently Russ Lemmon is not aware of Shawn Frost’s residency problem. That issue may not be of concern to him but it is of concern to the majority of the electorate. Not being honest with the voters on the issue of residency is evidence of the public not having any reason to trust that individual on other matters.

  2. I hope the truth is filtering down to the rest of those voting in the Primary this Tuesday. The misleading and omitted information of the PJ is shocking and disheartening.

  3. And, apparently Russ Lemmon is suppressing the fact that Charles Searcy was instrumental in getting the Oslo Boat ramp widened even though this project has been proven to be detrimental to the Lagoon. Just goes to prove that this paper refuses to vet the candidates that they endorse. I’m going to stick with InsideVero and my blog, Bea-isms on this one. Heimler and Disney-Brombach are my choices.
