PETER BAKER, loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Baker and children Sharon Merlier, Petrina Resch and Kirk Baker. Peter was a wonderful man with great vision, head of the R&D Division of American Can Company who later moved on to general contracting and, in retirement, worked for the Martin County School Board. In life, Peter enjoyed many things from flying planes to gardening and fishing, but his favorite thing of all was working with his hands, he was an excellent machinist who could make just about anything from a piece of metal or wood and loved to tinker in his workshop. He greatly enjoyed fixing things and one of his favorite comments when something was very difficult was, “If it’s impossible it will just take me a little longer!”

Peter was strong in every aspect of his life and his life was incredible. The people he has left behind have learned a lot of their personal strengths from him, he was a great man who knew so many things but even better, he understood when he didn’t know something and listened intently if he thought you had an answer he sought. We wish you could’ve stayed a little while longer! We had more to learn.

We love you so much Papa, Pop, Daddy, Papa Bear, Grandpa! Thanks for everything you taught us. You made the world a better place for us and we will miss you always, until we meet again…

In Loving Memory

Your family
