Last week, a seventeen year old female awoke to an unknown black male subject touching her leg while she was lying in bed. The female victim reported seeing the man crouched beside her bed which caused her to scream. The man fled from the residence before the victim could get a look at his face.

The residence is located in the Grace Grove subdivision in the 4000 block of 41st Square in Vero Beach. The victim and her mother reported that the home was locked when they went to bed and no signs of forced entry were found. They also reported several other items missing from their residence over the past six months under suspicious circumstances.

Indian River County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on scene within one minute of the 9-1-1 call, but were unable to locate the suspect. Now detectives are asking the public for help in locating this suspect. He is described as a black male, twenty to thirty years old, approximately five foot ten inches to six foot tall, with a medium build.
