Former Press Journal opinion columnists, Russ Lemmon, is starting his own weekly newsletter.  Announcing the launch of Lemmon Lines, Lemmon wrote, “The newspaper business wasn’t for me anymore.  It has changed too much.  The focus is on digital, not print.”

Lemmon explained that in the next couple of weeks he will be selling advertising for his new weekly newsletter, which he hopes will grow to eight pages by the end of the year.  Lemmon promises Lemmon Lines will be, “a fund read with lots of interesting tidbits.”

  1. If Russ Lemmon wants to be a success in his new endeavor he has to break the image he created while writing for the Press Journal;this might be hard to do given his past writings . Hopefully, he will turn out to be more objective in his writings than he was at the PJ. I think getting out from under the thumb of Bob and his wife Amy, a FPL bigwig, will make him a more responsible writer. Time will tell.

  2. Hi Russ: We will be looking forward to seeing what direction you go in Lemmon Lines. So far we cannot figure out how to subscribe to it? Hope it will be available on line as well as in hard copy? Will it take positions on issues? That can be tricky with an ad supported venture!!!
