  1. Hey Mark: Thanks for all the wonderfull pictures. Inside Vero is the only news media that tells all the wonderful things happening every day at the dog park. There were 4,000 human visitors last month, oh yeah 4,000 four legged ones too.

  2. Well, that comes to 8,000 feet, 16,000 paws, and countless smiles.

I can’t tell you, John, how encouraging it is to see you, Jim Welles, and so many other private citizens work in cooperating with city government to create something of benefit to so many in Vero Beach and the larger community. I understand dog owners from well beyond the city limits, even from as far south as Oslo Road, regularly bring their four-legged family members to the Vero Beach Dog Park.

Like the shaded walking trails that wind through Riverside Park, the boat ramps, Memorial Island, Humiston and Jaycee Beaches, the Royal Palm Pointe fountain, and so many other amenities, the Vero Beach Dog Park is another one of those assets that make Vero Beach and Indian River County such a special community.

The positive energy I felt at the Dog Park today made me more convinced that ever of the importance of preserving and improving quality of life. As the Friends of the Vero Beach Dog Park celebrate a grand opening Nov. 8, and begin raising additional money for further improvements, including extensive landscaping, I wish you well.
