In addition to using an altered image, the Committee to Change Vero Electric’s post card omitted candidate Randy Old from its listing of candidates. Before the dust settle on this, the Committee to Change Vero Electric’s officers may be hearing from the Florida Elections Commission.

The Committee to Change Vero Electric, a political group headed by two local Republicans, mailed a postcard to local Democrats featuring an altered image of Vero Beach Vice Mayor Jay Kramer and Governor Rick Scott. The mailer urged Democrats not to support Kramer because of his Republican Party loyalties.
The group, which is registered with City Clerk Tammy Vock’s office, has indicated it is supporting Vero Beach City Council candidates Pilar Turner, Harry Howle III and Charlie Wilson.
Headed by registered Republicans, Dan Stump and Scott Stradley, the Committee to Change Vero Electric appears to have altered and used without permission a picture of Kramer, his wife Alla and Governor Rick Scott taken at the 2013 annual Lincoln Day Dinner.
In addition to taking the image from a copyrighted website, the Stradley-Stump group also appears to have altered the image by remove Alla Kramer and making it appear the Vice Mayor was standing next to the Governor.
At least as of Wednesday afternoon, Stump and Stradley were both members of the Indian River County Republican Executive Committee.

Let me guess??? They both are strong supporters of Charlie Wilson (one being his business partner), Harry Howle and Pilar Turner. Yeah these are the “honest” type people I want running the city!!
I am furious! Have seen enough of this pair of malicious Laurel and Hardy! Ethics! Where the heck did it go?
Not only should they be thrown off of the Republican Executive Committee but Stradley should not be allowed to be on the Utility Commission. This is what you get when you cross FPL money with hungry people who want to control the city. Dishonesty is running rampant in the campaigns of Turner, Howle and Wilson.
The issue of the Democrats not supporting Kramer pales compared to the fact that they are not even supporting their Congressional Candidate Gabe Rothblatt! It would appear as if the GOP has free reign to ignore the Democrats and do as they choose with out firing a shot, that is if they knew how to pull the trigger! Good luck Jay, you record of honesty and loyalty is all you need to win this race!
Larry, whether Democrats support Jay or not isn’t the point. The story, it seems to me, is that Stump and Stradley, both members of the Republican Executive Committee, urged Democrats not to support Jay, and they did so basing their argument on party affiliation. I would not be surprised if Stradley’s and Stump’s subtrifuge backfires in a number of ways.
I do like Jay and hope he gets re-elected, hopefully EVERYONE will support Jay Kramer as he has been straight forward from the first day he took office on the City Council! I do not know Stradley, but I do know Dan Stump, he is an honorable man who is entitled to his opinion right or wrong, Politics is a ruthless race and integrity seems to be the ¾ mark i instead of the finish line!
I believe Jay Kramer would be the right person for getting the job done as far as sale of Vero Electric, the controversy between other candidates seems really trife, Democrats need to get it together, well heck a lot of them need to get it together, anyway Goodluck Jay!!
