Turner, Howle going door-to-door with All Aboard Florida consultant
COMMENTARY
MARK SCHUMANN
Yesterday, the residents of Vero Isles received home visits from and group of five campaigners who are fixated on convincing the people of Vero Beach to vote against their own best interests. The group knocking on doors together in Vero Isles yesterday included Glen Heran, Pilar Turner, Harry Howle, Jackie Solari, wife of County Commissioner Bob Solari, and Matt Mohler, a lobbyist and communications consultant working for All Aboard Florida. (Mohler is a partner at Frontline Strategies, Inc., a Tallahassee based public relations firm that “assists clients in the formation and delivery of their message.” Frontline is currently assisting All Aboard Florida.) Curiously, Charlie Wilson was not in the Turner-Howle-Mohler-Heran-Solari war party.
Could it be that Heran, Turner, Howle and Solari join Mohler in supporting the high speed train, or did they set aside their differences long enough to try to dupe the people of Vero Beach into believing the power sale is still alive?

Strange, but many of the best Vero-ites live elsewhere for part of the year and that in no way diminishes our capability of knowing what is going on here……..indeed we may be better informed than many as we are able to see the wood for the trees!
Keith, point taken. Still, I cannot accept that more people outside the city than inside the city know what’s best for Vero Beach. Whoever would make that claim, presumably Charlie Wilson, Pilar Turner and Harry Howle, III, among other, is forwarding a presumptuous, even condescending assertion.
Look at the facts, Pilar Turner and Harry Howle out campaigning with the LOBBYIST of ALL ABOARD FLORIDA. Pilar Turner and Harry Howle claim to be against ALL ABOARD FLORIDA, however if true why are they going door to door with the ALL ABOARD FLORIDA LOBBYIST? Has ALL ABOARD FLORIDA given money to a PAC or are they about to ? This looks like the typical political stereotype of saying one thing ,but doing just the opposite. Who can believe either one of them after this latest episode.

Matt Mohler
Consultant
Matt Mohler is a second generation native Floridian. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale and reared in Vero Beach, where he graduated from St. Edwards School. After high school Matt moved to Gainesville where he earned an Associates degree. He finished his education at Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Writing and a Minor in Communications.
Matt worked as a district manager for an independent finance company after college. He lived and worked in Tallahassee, Las Vegas, and Biloxi. In 2002 Matt moved back to Florida where he worked as a 220-licensed property and casualty insurance agent for Nationwide, Allstate, and Felten and Associates, a private insurance brokerage company in Vero Beach.
While back in his hometown of Vero Beach, Matt founded the Young Republicans of Indian River County, was an active leader in the Republican Party of Indian River County, and served on several local boards leading up to a candidacy for City Council in 2006. Matt served as Co-Chair for the Indian River County Beaches Relay for Life 2007 and Committee Member of the Vero Beach Book Festival in 2006.
Matt Mohler has worked on several local and state political campaigns. He was Indian River County Co-Chair for Tom Gallagher’s 2006 Gubernatorial bid. He joined the Front Line Strategies team in early 2007.
Matt’s twitter account (currently inactive):

He and Harry Howle – both possess the same common about a Reagan thing.
FSU grad bleed orange and blue? that would be University of Florida. Floridauh.
To put it blunty something smells here in Vero. When a lobbyist with All Aboard Florida goes door to door in support of two council candidates it tells you where the candidates stand on the issue. The issue is the high speed train which will reach 110 mph as it carries passengers from Miami to Orlando and back. The closeness of PilarTurner and Harry Howle to the AAF lobbyist can only lead one to believe that Turner and Howle favor high speed rail coming through Vero.
You forgot to mention that Matt Mohler ran for city council (was not elected)) and his driver’s license
was a Wellington address. I talked to his employer down in Wellington and then I received a phone call from him telling me that if I wanted to know anything about him, I should ask him. Shocking,
isn’t it?
Would anyone think that Turner and Howle would say one thing before an election and do another after the election? Like maybe try to sell the Marina (City owned you know) and the get the lease for the dog park cancelled so they could do what Turner always wanted to do and turn it into a commercial business location. So if you live in central beach learn how to pronounce Marriott!!!
