Thanks Mark. I guess I don’t have to take Charlie to court this time. He still owes election commission fine for his sign violation. He told me to “get help”. My first thought was to wonder if He wanted “financial help from me, or if he needed medical help, but then knowing him, it was a body slam. He said I would be disappointed today. Do you think he will just dry up and evaporate at this point or do you think he will pop up again? Maybe he and his landlord can cook up some other scheme since they have nothing better to do. I want to thank you for keeping on top of this-can you imagine if the citizens of Vero Beach bought into what ever he was selling. At least Pilar Turner will suffer with no voice. And thank God we have four intelligent representitives on the city council. They will not sell our souls. My faith in human kind has been reinforced. So now I can say instead of ABC. it is now BBC—–Bye bye Charlie.
Mark, Thanks for the chance to comment on insidevero.com.
Since Wilson, who made the sale of Vero Electric his number one issue it became obvious to all that his contrived sale issue was not believed by the public. His poor showing is attributed to his this false message of the sale. The public knows the sale cannot happen at this time and under present contract realities. He also lost many votes with his outrageous antics at council meetings. This is the second year that big money has tried to buy an election and failed. I wonder if FPL ,out of town developers and some big money in the city hear the message.
.
I applaud the people of the City of Vero Beach. They did not get sucked into the inflated numbers, personal attacks, phony arguments and the carpet bombing with mailers. The informed voters of Vero Beach overcame the hype and hoopla of the big money bandits. We were fooled once.
I can’t wait to see the performance of this City Council where truth, honesty and concern for the citizens prevails. Special thanks to Randy Old who prepared impeccably, worked hard and showed his professionalism. Thanks to Jay Kramer who shelved his personal plans to help clean up the mess. This is a good day for Vero Beach.
I am proud of you. Stand tall all.
