With less than 7 days left till Christmas The Salvation of IRC is edging closer to the goal of $115,000. As of Friday December 19th the Salvation Army is at $76,140 or 68% of goal on pace for $111,489.

Your pocket change will make the difference whether The Salvation Army makes its goal or not this Holiday Season. Your change will help make change in our community for 2015 year and help The Salvation Army “Do The Most Good” with your generosity.

This year we will need just as much support and we are asking you to take notice of all the Red Kettles that are out in front of many retail locations in Indian River County during these final 7 days ending December 24th and make a donation to The Salvation Army, some of these locations include, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Publix, Winn Dixie ,The Post Office and The Vero Mall.

“I am very concerned about the lost of 5 kettle days this year with Thanksgiving a week late and how this will impact our ability to help those who are hurting. The red kettles are a symbol of giving and represent a tradition of caring that is passed down from generation to generation. We’re hoping that shoppers will remember their neighbors in need when they see a Salvation Army bell ringer in the community during the final week and be as generous as they can to help,” said Major Sam Vandenberg

The Salvation Army is only as successful as its generous donors, community members, volunteers and sponsors such as, VBCBA, Spring Hill Suites, Christian FM, Ocean FM, FPL, Velde Ford, The Crockett Group, The Mayflower Society, Hot Country 94.7 and The Vero Beach Rotary Club allow it to be. Without the help and support of this community, we would never be able to maintain our growth and services. We need our community support this Christmas and look forward to meeting our Red Kettle Campaign goal of $115,000
