Tree and Beautification Commission to sponsor “Beautification Weekend” Feb. 14-15

City of Vero Beach Tree and Beautification Commission chairman Kark Zimmermann today a announced the Commission will hold an inaugural “Beautification Weekend” Feb. 14-15.  Zimmermann explained the inaugural event will re-establish annual beautification efforts first begun in 1930 honoring Dr. Humiston’s efforts to beautify Vero Beach through annual cleanup and planting projects.

Vero Beach residents are encouraged to clean up their yards,  plant flowers, or participate in other beautification activities to be held the Feb. 14-15 weekend. “Taking action to beauty the City is to everyone’s benefit,” Zimmermann said.

  1. We at the Friends of the Vero Beach Dog Park have been beautifying the area west and north of Bob Summers Baseball Field for the last 9 months. We have planted 69 trees included are Cabbage Palms, Southern Magnolias, Japanese Blueberries, Royal Poincianas, Green Button Woods, Live Oaks, Orange Geigers, Cassias, Weeping Podacarpous, and Black Olives in the past nine months.
