MARK SCHUMANN
Public records provided today by the Town of Indian River Shores reveal that, in addition to spending $218,412 through November with attorney Bruce May and the law firm of Holland and Knight, the Shores was charged another $106,568.03 by the public relations firm, Curley and Pynn of Maitland, and the Tallahassee law firm of Radey Attorneys. The total cost to the Shores through November for pursuing legal action against Vero Beach totaled $324,980.03.
The October invoice from Radey Attorneys included a $737 charge for viewing the October 24 Vero Beach City Council meeting.
As copies of invoices from attorneys and consultants and public relations firm representing Indian River County, the Town of Indian River Shores and the City of Vero Beach become available, we will continue to report on the rising cost of the “power struggle” between local governments.
