NEWS RELEASE
In order to enhance the relationship between residents and the community the Tree and Beautification Commission in conjunction with the City Council, are instituting the inaugural “Beautification Weekend” for the City of Vero Beach FEB. 14-15, re-establishing a concept first established in 1930 honoring Dr. Humiston’s efforts in beautifying the City thru cleanup and planting projects.
By encouraging residents to clean up their yard, plant a tree, trim a hedge, plant flowers, or engage in other beautification activities over that weekend; hopefully encouraging others to take similar actions. This event is designed to increase the awareness of and appreciation for the overall look of our community and the importance of engaging its individuals and groups.
The goal is to emphasize the aesthetic richness of the City of Vero Beach. Taking actions to beautify this City is to everyone’s benefit; making Vero Beach an even more beautiful and attractive place to live!
