DOROTHY WAHLIN BENSON, 98, died February 11, 2015 at Indian River Estates Medical Center in Vero Beach. Dorothy was born in Mason City, IA and spent her early childhood in Redwing, MN. She moved to Vero Beach 25 years ago from Boynton Beach, FL where she and her late husband Rev. Caryl Benson had retired after serving the Salem Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, CT.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Wahlin Benson (Julie) of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Janetha Benson (Russell DeJong) of Belgrade, ME; grandchildren, Elissan Benson Maguire (Mark), Amanda Segura (Spencer), Nigel William Wahlin Benson, Sarah DeJong and Mark DeJong; great-grandchildren, Camden, Colin, Mitchell and Shane Mcguire and Spencer and Genevieve Segura. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Rev. Caryl Benson in 1997.

SIDNEY DIFFEY died at the age of 90 on February 11, 2015 at IRMC, Vero Beach, Florida. Sidney was born in Arkansas. He was currently a resident of Vero Beach, after having lived most of his life in Granite City, Illinois. Sidney was a member of the Vero Beach Church of Christ and had served as an Elder in the Granite City Church of Christ. Sidney served in the Navy during WWII. He spent his lifelong career at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. Sid enjoyed Church, Music, Western movies, and spending time with beloved family and friends.
He was survived by his wife of 66 years, Clara Hazel Diffey, his daughter Reida and Son in Law Gene Lewis, Grandchildren John and Dawn Calcagno, Todd and Holly Lewis, Great Grandchildren: Ashley, Calley, Bayley, John (Jr.) Calcagno, Andrea and Josh Mix, Jared and Lee Callihan, Great great grandchildren, Paxton Mix. His youngest brother, Richard Leon, Several nieces and nephews and many other wonderful friends also survive.

ARTHUR FIDALGO, 90, of Ludlow was called home peacefully on February 7, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Sebastian, Florida. He was born May 3rd 1924 and was a lifelong resident of Ludlow. Art proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army. He was a long time member of the Ludlow Country Club and a member of the Portuguese American Citizens Club.
Art was the beloved husband of 56 years to Philomena “Fannie” (Bernardo) Fidalgo. A loving father to Art Fidalgo and wife Sandy of Suffield CT and Roslyn LaBonte and husband Dave of Sebastian FL. A cherished Papa to Erin LaBonte, Kristen Lansner and husband Jeff, David LaBonte, Andy Fidalgo and Great-Granddaughter Audriana Wright. He also leaves his sister Celia Desilets of Ludlow and many loving extended family members.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Limpio Fidalgo and sisters Mary Sa Nogueira, Willie Sorcinelli and Diolinda Breault.
