M.A.C.E. arrests dangerous felon on drug sale and possession charges

Dennis Earl WilliamsOn Wednesday afternoon, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) Unit concluded a month long narcotics investigation involving a dangerous felony offender. Dennis Earl Williams (27) of Vero Beach, was arrested and charged with sale of cocaine, sale in lieu of hydromorphone pills, possession of MDMA (ecstasy), and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. Williams is a three time convicted felon with previous arrests for burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery, robbery with an deadly weapon, aggravated battery and several previous drug arrests.

Williams was arrested in the 500 block of SW Old Dixie Highway where twenty-one ecstasy tablets and thirteen grams of crack cocaine were seized. He was taken into custody without incident. Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, “Our M.A.C.E. Unit continues their focus of taking dangerous felons off the streets. Indian River County is safer today knowing that Williams is behind bars.” Williams is currently being held at the Indian River County Jail on $37,500.00 bond
