JOYCE SACCHI SCOTT of Oak Island, Vero Beach, was born in Freehold, N.J. on December 30, 1933 graduating from Freehold High School in 1951. Beautiful sister of John, Milton, and Helen Sacchi Statesir. Her deceased immigrant parents from Italy and Germany, Charles and Mentha, preceded Joyce. An accomplished violinist played the glockenspiel in the Elks orchestra and a choir member of First Presbyterian Church. Joyce was employed in communications by AT&T for over 25 years in New Jersey, Alaska, and Montana, retiring in Florida. Added stress contributed to her congestive heart condition and assisted by her loving brother Johnny arranged for additional medical services at Eisenhower Medical Center, Desert Cardiology Group in California by renowned physicians but for all their exemplary medical expertise Joyce succumbed on March 1st, 2015. Also survived by her devoted, protective husband of 30 years, George, her two brothers John and Milton and one sister Helen, plus many nieces and nephews. Services will only be conducted in Rancho Mirage and Beverly Hills, CA. (3/7/15)
MARY ZBINDEN, of Vero Beach, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the VNA Hospice House. She was born in Torrington, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Irone and Rose Pavan. Mary worked as a bookkeeper in the healthcare industry before her retirement. She was a member of the Vero Beach Church of the Alliance.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arthur Zbinden, Sr. in 2003 and her son, Todd in 1985. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Mastrototaro and husband Gino of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Arthur Zbinden and wife Jean of Gilford, NH, 4 grand-children: Kerry Raia, Wendy Bourassa, Jill Mastrototaro, and Kelly Bourcet. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren.
