CHARLES MARION “ANDY” ANDERSON, 79, died March 8, 2015 at his home in Winter Beach. Marion was born in Winter Beach, FL and has been a life time resident of Winter Beach. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School Class of 1953. Marion was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He worked for Florida Power and Light for 40 years before his retirement in 1993. Marion was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winter Beach.
Survivors include wife of 59 years, Janet Walker Anderson of Winter Beach; daughters, Jill Anderson Vaughn (Tommy) of Buna, TX and Jerri Anderson of Winter Beach; granddaughter, Logan Vaughn of Buna, TX and sisters, Mary Lou Hamilton (Bobby) of Winter Beach and Virginia Monteith of Quitman, GA.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine Physical Therapy Center, 1705 17th Ave Vero Beach, FL 32960. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March, 11, 2015 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. MICHAEL (MIKE, MICKEY) LEIGH BROOKS, 68, passed-away March 5, 2015 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Mike, a native of Vero Beach and a life time resident, was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1965. He attended Indian River Community College, earning an Associate Degree.
Mike began a long career in the communications industry as an Assistant Technician with Columbia Television (Florida Cablevision) in 1970. In his 45 years he saw the company change hands several times into what is now Comcast. Mike currently held a positon with Comcast as Supervisor of Network Maintenance. Mike was an avid hunter, and fisherman, having his own business, Midi Custom Rods, fabricating and repairing custom fishing rods. He was a member of the Hundred Club of Indian River County and the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Dianne; daughters, Meghan Heirs (Bobby) and Kelli Benfield (Andy) of Winston-Salem, NC, stepsons, Robert Johnston and Gregory Johnston; father, Carlos Brooks, brother, Craig Brooks (Jeannie), sister, Nancy Kent (Tom) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren: Bobby Joe, Zachary, Isabel, Lea, Kelsey and great-grandson, Connor, aunt, Selma (William) Luther, uncles, Dwayne Morris(Patti) and Wayne Morris, of Fort Lauderdale. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Florene (Morris) Brooks.

IDA N. PANEBIANCO On March 7, 2015, Ida N. Panebianco (nee Roda) 92, of Pitman, N.J. passed away at Pitman Manor. Born in Philadelphia, Ida had been a resident of Magnolia, NJ before retiring to Vero Beach, FL in 1981. She joined the Italian American Civic Association in Vero Beach, and was particularly active in that organization during the 1990’s. Prior to her marriage in 1946, Ida worked as a secretary at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Ida was predeceased in 1996 by her husband, Anthony. She is lovingly survived by her three children, John (Charline Rose) in Cherry Hill, NJ, Thomas (Marion Cordova) in Great Cacapon, WV, and Mary Panebianco in Galena, MD; her former daughter-in-law, Marie (Carl) Ford in West Deptford, NJ; her grandchild, Julie Panebianco (Jon Gregory) in San Francisco; her great grandchild, Daisy and her sister Emma Pino in Marlton, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Saturday morning, March 14th beginning at 10:00 AM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ where her Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM. DAVID L. “BUCK” ROBERTSON, 84, of Fort Pierce, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce.
Buck was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Able Robertson.
