This weekend - FirefightersFairCEnjoy 10 days of family fun at the Indian River County Firefighters Fair to be held at the Indian River County Fairgrounds from March 13th through 22nd.  There will be a wide variety of entertainment, rides & games, baked goods and food, live music, 4H events, a demolition derby and much more.  Visit FirefightersFair.org for the schedule and to order tickets.  Tickets may also be purchased at the Cultural Council 2145 14th Avenue in Vero Beach.

This weekend - UnderTheOaksThe Vero Beach Art Club presents the 64th Annual Under the Oaks Fine Arts & Crafts Show this weekend, March 13th, 14th and 15th in Riverside Park.  This show will feature over 200 juried artists from around the country as well as a variety of food in the Food Court.  Hours are Friday & Saturday, 9 to 5 and Sunday 10 to 4.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art’s popular Art In Bloom celebration continues with a demonstration by Bruce Bailey, “Edwardian Flowers: Arranging the Downton Abbey Look”, followed by tea in the Sculpture Park on Friday, March 13th at 10 am. ($50).

SATURDAY  MARCH 14

American Security Council Foundation’s Annual Heroes Appreciation Golf Tournament  will be held on  Saturday, March 14th at the Bent Pine Golf Club. The event will include lunch prior to a 1:30 Shotgun Start, with a cocktail hour and awards following. The cost is $125 per person or $400 for a team.  Call 772-388-2490.

McKee Botanical Garden will hold LEGO® Robotics workshops on Sunday, March 15th.  Children will get to create and operate a Venus fly trap utilizing LEGO WeDo™ and LEGO MINDSTORMS® software programs. Workshops will be held in two sessions: 1 to 2 pm and 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Each session will feature separate workshops for Junior Robotics (ages 5-8) and Apprentice Robotics (ages 9-14). This Weekend - Joyce Yang, piano3The Indian River Symphonic Association presents the Brevard Symphony Orchestra at Community Church on Sunday, March 15th at 7:30 pm.  Pieces to be performed are Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont, Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Joyce Yang on piano and Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in C Major.  For tickets call 772-778-1070.
