TODD BILLMAN, 47, of Vero Beach, passed away March 12, 2015 at the Indian River Medical Center. Todd was born July 20 1967 in Logansport, IN to Marc and Kay Billman. Survivors include his mother Kay and daughter Rebecca Billman both of Vero Beach; and sister Beth Dombroski and nieces Sarah and Bridget Dombroski of Glastonbury, CT. He was preceded in death by his father Marc Billman, maternal grandfather Marion Shuman, maternal grandmother Mary Douglass, and paternal grandparents Carl and Gladys Billman. ELOISE HOOK GRABENBAUER, 87, died March 12, 2015 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Royal Center, Indiana and moved to Indian River County in 1977 and most recently resided in Sebastian, FL. Eloise was a valedictorian graduate of Kewanna High School, Kewanna, Indiana. Eloise was employed with Bellsouth Company as their Administrative Assistant until her retirement in 1983 after retirement she went to work for Hale Groves taking their seasonal orders. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and was active in the Women’s Club and she was a past Secretary Treasurer for Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Dale Grabenbauer of Sebastian; son, James Yelton of Hollywood; daughter, Jennifer Davis of Las Vegas, Neveda; step-children, Tim Grabenbauer of Vero Beach, Judy Couch of Fort Worth, Texas, Joseph Grabenbauer of Norman, Oklahoma, Annette Ehardt of Norman, Oklahoma, Kara Gillespie of Vero Beach and Michael Grabenbauer of Vero Beach; two grandchildren and fourteen step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren; Step-Sisters, Marilyn J. McLane and Virginia Thomas both of Florida and Indiana. iana.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Robert Hook.

Memorial contributions may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1745 14th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Eloise Grabenbauer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Father John Morrissey and Father Noel, celebrants. Interment will follow at Sebastian Cemetery.

HAROLD “HAL” V. HENDRIX of Vero Beach passed away at the VNA Hospice House on February 12, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Richmond, Missouri, he grew up in Kansas City and attended Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst University. He began his career as a journalist at the Kansas City Star and, after covering local news, he convinced his editors that Latin America would become an important trade center and became the paper’s correspondent for Central and South America. He organized a trip to Latin America in the early 1950’s for Kansas City’s business and government leaders which was covered by the New York Times. Shortly after this trip, he moved to Miami in the mid-1950’s to write for the Miami News. While at the Miami News, he covered Cuba extensively and reported there were Soviet missiles in Cuba three weeks before the White House made the announcement. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1963 for International Reporting for his series of articles on Cuba. He then went to work for Scripps Howard News Service as their Latin American correspondent based in Miami. He covered numerous riots, revolutions and coups in Panama, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Venezuela and Haiti during this period. In the late 1960’s he served as Director of Public Relations for Latin America for International Telephone and Telegraph Company and lived in Buenos Aires for four years. He was transferred to New York as the Vice President for Latin American Public Relations and continued to travel throughout the continent. Wanting to return to Miami, he went to work as Vice President of Marketing for the Wackenhut Corporation in the late 1970’s. After retiring in 1985 he moved to Vero Beach. He quickly became involved in the community. In the late 1990’s he founded the Vero Beach Chapter of the Mended Hearts Cardiac Support Group and collaborated closely with the Indian River Medical Center. He remained active in the group for a number of years. Hal is predeceased by Pat, his beloved wife of 67 years, and is survived by his daughter Kathy Hendrix and her husband Earl Walker of Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or to the Indian River Medical Center Foundation, 1000 37th Place, Suite 101, Vero Beach, FL 32960. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 19, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Lane. Mass will be followed by a reception at Quail Valley Country Club. TERRANCE LEE WEAVERLING, 75, of Sebastian, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Terrance was born November 9, 1939 in Everett, Pennsylvania the son of the late Robert and Lenore Weaverling. He had been a resident of Sebastian for 14 years, coming from Miami, FL. Terrance was an avid motorcycle rider, Harley Davidson enthusiast, a member of the Hog Club of Miami and rode with the Drill Team for years. He loved all his animals just like his family.

Terrance is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Lila Weaverling, two sons and one daughter; Scott Weaverling and wife Kathie of Ocala, FL, Mark Weaverling of Ft. Lauderdale, and Shelly Perfumo and husband Lloyd of Ft. McCoy, Fl. One grand-son, Robert Weaverling of Ft. Lauderdale. Two step-daughters and one step-son; Lori Detlefsen and husband Rick of Jacksonville, Mara Woodward and husband David of Vero Beach and Barry Greenberg and wife Becky of Ft. Lauderdale. Four step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Several other realatives and friends also survive. Terrance was preceded in death by his brother Robert Weaverling of St. Cloud, Florida on September 11, 1997.
