NEWS RELEASE

In the morning hours of March 26th, Jamalis Hall (39) and Sheila Hall (47), both of Vero Beach, began arguing over money and drug use. After only one year of marriage, the couple had a history of unreported domestic violence. Jamalis needed money, but Sheila didn’t have any money to give him. In a fit of rage, Jamalis attacked Sheila, severely beating her. Sheila’s injuries included a broken nose and a deep cut to her throat.
Sheila was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her wounds. Jamalis fled the area in his vehicle. Indian River County Sheriff’s Detectives arrived on scene and began working the case. Jamalis Hall’s vehicle was located in Fort Pierce. Detective Ross Partee obtained a warrant for Jamalis Hall for the charge of attempted murder. Detectives believe Jamalis may still be in the Fort Pierce area, armed and possible emotionally unstable. Hall is described as 5’6″, 230 pounds, bald with some facial hair.
Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, “For many years, domestic violence was something that was kept behind closed doors, a family secret. Too many men and women have lost their lives to domestic violence. Fortunately, Mrs. Hall is alive today. Our deputies and detectives have been relentless in the pursuit of Jamelis Hall and will continue to hunt him down until we put him behind bars.”
If you know the whereabouts of Jamalis Hall, please call 9-1-1 and do not approach him.
