Late last week, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) Unit concluded an investigation that resulted in trafficking charges.

Tiera Tippie (46) of Vero Beach was charged with two counts of sale of Morphine and one count of trafficking in Morphine after she sold eight pills to an undercover officer. Forty-nine pills were recovered from her purse, which led to the trafficking charges.

Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, “We continue the fight against the illegal sale and distribution of prescription narcotics. Those who are skirting the law will be charged and prosecuted.” Tippie remains at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office on $125,000 bond.
