Charter High School to hold juried art exhibition today

Indian River Charter High School and the Schumann School for the Visual and Performing Arts take great pride in its’ ability to infuse the arts into the school curriculum. IRCHS will showcase student artwork from the 2014-2015 school year.

On Friday, May 1st, 2015 from 5 – 7 PM at the Indian River Charter High School (IRCHS) campus (6055 College Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32966) the IRCHS Visual Arts Department will be showcasing student artworks from the 2014-2015 school year.

This event is free and open to the public with live music by the IRCHS Wolves Jazz Band. IRCHS’ multidisciplinary arts program will exhibit works from all student skill levels with designated senior art retrospectives showcasing the development of work while at Charter.

First to third place and best in show awards will be given in drawing, painting, sculpture and photography. Many of the works included in the exhibition are created in styles and subject matter that reflect the significant figures and events of the ancient and middle age eras. IRCHS’ current visual arts faculty includes Anthony Kopp (painting/drawing/digital arts), Liming Tang (painting/drawing), Jon Pine (photography/film), and Ramayana Baba (ceramics).
