Under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director Aaron T. Collins, the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, in cooperation with NASA, will close its 2014-15 performing season with An Earth Odyssey on Sunday, May 24th at 3 pm. The unique concert will allow attendees to experience HD images from NASA projected on the big screen. The Environmental Learning Center offers camps for ages 4 (Pre-K) through 7th Grade on its 64 acre campus. Little Wonders (4 years to Pre K) 4 day morning sessions are June 15 – 18, June 22 – 25 and June 29 – July 2. Young Explorer (for children entering 1st grade) 4 day morning sessions are June 22 – 25 and July 6 – 9. Our Living World (for children entering 2nd and 3rd grade) morning sessions are June 8 – 11; June 15 – 18 and June 29 – July 2. Island Adventure (for children entering 4th and 5th grade) are 3 full days each session June 8 – 10 and June 29 – July 1. St. Paul’s Church, 2526 17th Avenue in Vero Beach offers Survivor Camp for ages 9-13 from July 27th to 31st from 8 am to 4 pm. Based on the TV show, competitive campers will enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, puzzles, games, learning about snakes & insects, survivor skills & God’s Word. Lunch is included for $160 per week by June 1st, $175 per week after. The camper who earns the most points at the end of the week will be named “Soul Survivor” and win a $50 gift certificate. McKee Botanical Garden, 350 S US 1 in Vero Beach presents Camp McKee 2015 from 8:30 am to 3 pm daily with sessions from July 6-10 and July 13 -17 for ages 5 to 9. The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department presents Aerial Antics Circus Camp (June 8th through August 7th – 9 weeks) at Leisure Square for ages 6 – 12. Participants will have the opportunity to perform in “Totally 80’s”, the 41st Annual Aerial Antics Youth Circus August 6, 7 and 8 at Saint Edward’s School. Instruction areas include gymnastics, dance, tumbling and circus aerial (trapeze, rings, hoop, etc). Cost: $90 for city residents/$105 for non-city residents. Create at Studio MA, 835 17th Street in Vero Beach is offering Sewing Camp, June 8 – 12 from 9 am to Noon for children who know how to use a sewing machine or 1-4 pm for beginners. Sewing Camp is $200 for the week and includes all materials with a fashion show at the end of the week.
