New route will include park and ride service at Riverside Park

The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners this week approved at new GoLine route to serve the barrier island.
The new route will go to 12 designated stops every 20 minutes making a complete loop along Vero’s beachside.
A public-private partnership was formed with the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa donating $40,000 to get the project started and who will continue to do a 25% match on the grant received to run the route.
Route 16 will run every day, Sunday through Saturday, 5:40 am to 6:0) pm. The City of Vero Beach has designated a parking area behind the tennis courts at Riverside Park as a park-and-ride area for beachside employees and other riders.
The City of Vero Beach Police Department will monitor the area for the security of the vehicles parked there.
The Circulator map and route will be available prior to the bus running start date of July 1st.
