NEWS RELEASE
The GoLine Indian River Transit hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning at the park-and-ride area for the launching of the new Beachside Circulator Route. The new route has officially begun serving Vero’s beachside, stopping at various shops, hotels and restaurants.
“We are excited to officially launch the new Beachside Circulator Route offering transportation to help relieve parking along Ocean Drive,” said Karen Deigl, President & CEO of GoLine Indian River Transit. “We are hoping it will be used by employees, retail and restaurant customers and tourists. We couldn’t be more thankful for the generous support and partnership with Vero Beach Hotel and Spa to make this Circulator possible.”
“Heaton Companies considers Vero Beach its second home,” said Lee Heaton, Vice President and Owner of the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa. “With increased shopping, dining and activity options along the beachfront, the shortage of parking has become an issue. We simply saw an opportunity that would assist in alleviating this problem, and wanted to help any way that we could.”
Route 16 runs every day, Sunday through Saturday, 5:40AM to 6:00PM, making stops every 20 minutes. The park and ride area is located at Riverside Park behind the tennis courts. Circulator maps and route information are available at www.golineirt.com. For any questions or more information, call 772-569-0903.
