The 2015-2016 Arts & Cultural Information Guide will be presented. Attendees may schedule a free delivery by Pak Mail of a supply of guides for their organization. Network with arts professionals, arts organization representatives, businesses and patrons who support the arts in a happy hour atmosphere! weekend - 163966The Vero Beach Theatre Guild, 2020 San Juan Avenue, is kicking off its 58th season with Ray Cooney’s famous farce comedy, Run for Your Wife with performances through Sunday, September 20th. John Smith, a New York city taxi driver, has the best of two marital worlds, a loving wife on the westside of town and an adoring wife living on the eastside. Why not? After all, it’s only a four and one half minute drive across Central Park’s transverse. Life is good until John comes to the aid of a lady being mugged and he ends up in the emergency room. There goes that eastside, westside four and half minute commute and John’s schedule of being in the right place at the right time. weekend - Nature NookThe Nature Nook Gift Shop, located at the Environmental Learning Center is having its September Sale throughout the month. Everything is offered at 20% off the regular price for Members, and 10% off for the general public. Everything in the “Sale Room” is 40% off. There is an in depth section of Florida History and Native Plant books, summer hats, jewelry, games, soap rocks, lamps, hand-carved wooden puzzle boxes, enamel bejeweled trinket boxes, and e-cloth, a chemical free cleaning cloth that removes over 99% of bacteria from hard surfaces with plain water. Gift Shop hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am until 4 pm, Saturday from 9 am until noon, and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm.

CULTURAL ARTS VILLAGE DESIGN WORKSHOP CONTINUES
For those who missed the design workshop last Saturday for the proposed Cultural Arts Village, plan to attend the open studios at Vero Beach Downtown Hampton Inn, Business Conference Center open daily from 9 am to 6 pm through this Thursday. A “Work in Progress” presentation will be made at 6 pm on Friday, September 18th at the Heritage Center, 2140 14th Avenue in Vero Beach. Main Street Vero Beach will hold its first quarterly “Downtown Business Networking Breakfasts on Thursday, September 17th from 8 to 9 am. The event will held at PNC Bank, 958 20th Place. weekend - 15-0722 PoodlefulRiverside Theatre announces the creation of Riverside Theatricals, a division of the Theatre focused on the creation of new musicals. Poodleful, A K9 Mystery Musical, a musical created for young audiences starring professional performers, is the first production from this division and will play Riverside Theatre September 18th through 20th. Based on the book Pansy at the Palace by Author Cynthia Bardes, Poodleful, A K9 Mystery Musical follows the adventures of Pansy the poodle and a young girl named Avery at the glamorous Palace Hotel in Beverly Hills. In the show, Pansy’s life blossoms when she is adopted from an animal shelter by a loving family and little girl named Avery. Swept into her new life at the Palace Hotel in Beverly Hills, this smart and courageous puppy saves the day when a mysterious theft occurs, threatening to close down the hotel and disrupt the lives of her new family. weekend - 1516-OktoberfestNightsCelebrate Oktoberfest with German-themed food and music during Riverside Theatre’s Oktoberfest Nights Comedy Zone. On Friday & Saturday, September 18th & 19th, comedians Jody Kern & James Yon will perform with shows at 7:30 and 9:30 pm. Free outdoor concerts are held in the Live In The Loop featuring The Jacks Band (Variety) on Friday and Bob Houston (Octoberfest Band) on Saturday. The Center for Spiritual Care, 1550 24th Street in Vero Beach is hosting an Introduction to Transcendental Meditation on Friday, September 18th at 7 pm. The most effective meditation technique is also the easiest to learn and most enjoyable to practice. Walk-ins are welcome! Donations Accepted.

Saturday, Sept 19

The Indian River County Historical Society is holding its annual Pineapple Homecoming Membership Drive on Saturday, September 19th at the Hallstrom House, 1723 Old Dixie Hwy SW in Vero Beach. Enjoy family fun and activities for the children from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The cost is: $8 adults, $4 children under 12 and $15 for a family of 3 or more.
