Registration is now open for McKee Botanical Garden’s Fall/Winter 2015 class series, which features hands-on workshops and lectures on a variety of topics. Space is limited and advanced registration by phone at 772-794-0601 is required for all classes. The series will kick off Sunday, October 18 with ‘Decorate Your Own Cake’ led by Lori Young, owner of Sweet Creations bakery.

In this tasty workshop, participants will get to decorate a frosted cake with colored icing, tips, fondant, cut outs and molds using nature as their inspiration. Participants can choose from two sessions: 1:00 to 2:00 pm or 3:00 to 4:00 pm. All ages are welcome, and children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $30 for McKee members/$35 for non-members, and participants will take their cake home to enjoy afterwards. Continue reading…
