Riverside Children’s Theatre (RCT) announces its summer camps schedule for children ages 3 to 18. Specifically tailored towards each age group, RCT’s summer camps are designed to bring out the star in every child.

KINDER CAMP

For ages 3 & 4

10am – 12pm

Tuition: $50 per session

Our youngest camp is the best way for our littlest students to get acquainted with the world of storytelling in a fun classroom environment. Campers will use creative dramatics to explore new and exciting stories each day.

Session 1 – June 8, 9, 10

Session 2 – July 6, 7, 8

BEGINNING STAGES CAMPS

For ages 4 to 6

9am – 12pm

Tuition: $90 per session

Our young budding performers get chances to explore all facets of their imaginations and creativity in these popular annual camps. Each week is centered on a different theme, but all will cover the basics of storytelling, acting, singing, and art!

Session 1 – June 13-17

Aladdin’s Adventures – Jump onto your magic carpet and explore your imaginations

to perform songs, scenes, and stories based on the classic tale of Aladdin.

Session 2 – June 20 – 24

Alice in Wonderland – Head through the looking glass as we create your own versions

of Alice’s story and songs.

Session 3 – June 17 – July 1

Giants in the Sky – There are all sorts of big friendly giants at RCT as the students

grow to new heights with their talents.

Session 4 – July 11 – 15

Finding Nemo, Dory, and Friends – Just keep swimming as we look for the lovable

clownfish and his forgetful friend in an adventure through the seas.

Session 5 – July 18 -22

Jungle Book – Head deep into the jungle as we explore the songs and stories of

Mowgli, Baloo, and their animal friends.

 

THE iRASCALS EXPEREINCE

Totally 80s Rascals

For ages 12 & up

10am – 4pm

Tuition: $200

Be prepared to get totally awesome as Rascals covers the pop songs of the 80’s. From Cyndi Lauper to Michael Jackson, Duran Duran to the Culture Club (and maybe a little Weird Al), we will drive our DeLorean back in time to relive the classics of the ear! Students will learn vocal techniques, dancing and acting in this full day camp, which culminates in a show for their families to enjoy all the fun!

Session – June 27 – July 1

Performances: July 1 @ 4pm & 7pm

iRascals KIDS

For ages 8 & up

10am – 4pm

Tuition: $200

New this year, a second iRascals opens up the program to even more emerging pop stars! Kid friendly hits from the pop charts and Broadway will help our young stars learn techniques for singing, dancing, and acting in this fun new expansion of our popular Rascals program!

Session – July 25 – 29

Performances: July 29 @ 4pm & 7pm

 

SECOND STAGE WORKSHOPS

For ages 7 – 12

9am – 12pm (Session 1) & 1pm – 4pm (Session 2)

Tuition: $90

Participants will gain valuable performance skills as they stage, rehearse, and perform a play as a staged reading to be shared with family and friends at the end of the week. Emphasis will be on creating characters and telling a story without relying on costumes and sets. All levels of performers will gain valuable experience that will help them in future shows at RCT>

Session 1 – June 7 – 10

TEENS IN CONCERT

For ages 13 & up

10am-4pm

Tuition: $300

 

An exciting second year of this intensive two-week camp will offer older students a unique opportunity to perform a show in a concert setting, putting the emphasis firmly on strengthening performance skills.
