SAVE ART MUNDO! – Join Art Mundo, A Center for Creative Expression, for a celebration on Thursday, June 30 from 5 to 8 pm at the Old City Hall, 315 Avenue A in Fort Pierce. Enjoy music and dance, heavy hors d’ouevres and a cash bar in an effort to raise funds for this not-for-profit community arts education organization. Tickets are $50 per person or 3 tickets for $100. Art Mundo is a supportive and creative environment providing people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunities to create, study and present art, nurturing artists’ careers in all stages of development and servicing the community’s art and cultural needs by expanding public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of art. FIRST FRIDAY GALLERY STROLL
The First Friday Gallery Stroll will be held on July 1 from 5 to 8 pm along and around 14th Avenue in Vero Beach. Here’s a preview, strolling from South to North:
Tiger Lily Studios & Gallery features works by Sharon Sexton, Julia Carter, Shotsi LaJoie, Travis Blanton, Cristina Abizaid and Glenda Taylor.
Gallery 14 presents New Work and Old Favorites. The exhibit will highlight the work of undersea photographer Greg Hills (at left) with selected photographs remaining on view through the summer. Also featured will be work in oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, mixed media, collage, jewelry, photography, ceramics and sculpture, by Gallery 14 partners.

Main Street Studios hosts guest photographer and potter, Jim Cohoe, presenting new works on view through the month as well as works by Roy McClendon, Barbara Sharp and Sharon Wilson.
Flametree Clay Gallery is exhibiting clay works by gallery artists this month featuring raku, sculptural works and small pieces, both functional and decorative.
The Riverside Childrens Theatre presents Totally 80’s Rascals on Friday, July 1 with shows at 4 and 7 pm. Be prepared to get totally awesome as Rascals covers the pop songs of the 80’s. From Cyndi Lauper to Michael Jackson, Duran Duran to the Culture Club (and maybe a little Weird Al), kids will drive their DeLorean back in time to relive the classics of the ear! Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children.
SATURDAY JULY 2
The Vero Beach Book Center invites children to celebrate the 4th of July on Saturday, July 2 at 11 am at the Bubblewrap Explosion & Patriotic Party. Miss Erin will be there to read stories, sing songs, and lead all friends in a parade around the store. There will be a fun patriotic craft, and to top off all the fun, we will simulate fireworks by jumping on bubble wrap!
