Honored earlier this year as a Top Three Community College in the nation for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, Indian River State College has been selected for Aspen Prize eligibility in 2019. Named in the Top 150 colleges, IRSC will compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s signature recognition for high achievement and performance among America’s community colleges.
Colleges are assessed for exceptional student outcomes in student learning, certificate/degree completion and transfer, equity and employment earnings.
“This national recognition is a reflection of the pervasive dedication to continuous improvement throughout the entire College,” said Dr. Edwin R. Massey, IRSC President. “Our efforts are ensuring that more students succeed in college and careers.”
IRSC ranked as a Top Ten Finalist in 2015 and attained further commendation as a top three college in 2017 as a Finalist with Distinction.
