The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners this morning voted to acquire the Dodgertown Golf Course property rather than see it sold to a commercial developer. The vote was 4-1 with Commissioner Solari voting no. This is in advance of the Vero Beach City Council meeting at 5:30 this afternoon where approval of a contract for sale of the property will be voted on. Commissioners debated what price to offer, decided on $2.4 million. Motion carried 3-2, Zorc and Solari opposed. Jason and Chairman O’Bryan will present it.

Thank you to the county commissioners who voted to buy the Dodgertown golf course; you have saved the area from bad planning by the city council. Bob Solari once again displayed his anti city agenda. This is no surprise since he has a long history of being anti city. This must be a touch “pill to swallow” for the out of touch mayor, Sykes and Zudans.
