Experience the astronomical sights and sounds of the holiday season with the concert “Yuletides” at the Hallstrom Planetarium on the Indian River State College Main Campus in Fort Pierce. Featuring the live electronic music of world-renowned composer and artist Jonn Serrie of “Star Trek,” the concert lets the audience enjoy the stars as Planetarium Director Jon Bell projects special effects of stars and stellar beacons on the planetarium dome–all choreographed to the music. “Yuletides” will be presented Dec. 8 at 4 and 7 p.m. Tickets for the show are $15.
Tickets for shows at the Hallstrom Planetarium can be purchased online at www.irsc.edu or at the box office in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center lobby on the IRSC Main Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by phone with VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Call the McAlpin Fine Arts Center Box Office at 1-800-220-9915 to reserve seats. Planetarium shows are recommended for adults and for children over the age of four. Visitors may want to bring a light jacket or sweater as the Planetarium’s temperature is maintained at 72 degrees.
