This March Gallery 14 welcomes William McCarthy in a show entitled: Atmospheric Landscapes: Oils by William McCarthy.   The exhibit will run from February 26 through March 29 with an opening reception on Thursday February 28 from 5-8pm. This special reception will be sponsored by Artfully Managed.

William McCarthy paints from memory and imagination from his studio in Hamden, Connecticut and his workshops in Italy. Each of his luminous and mysterious images of trees against sky, field, and river, evoke a subtle variation in light and atmosphere. Looking at his body of work he says: “I feel it speaks about spiritual places, places that contain a quiet inner light, radiating an ethereal whisper, the places we see every day.” McCarthy has won many First Place awards in art shows across the country, including Under the Oaks 2014.

Also featured will be Gallery 14 artist-owners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Barbara Landry, Mary Ann Hall, Beth-Anne Fairchild, Deborah Polackwich and Dorothy Napp Schindel, as well as work by Walford Campbell, Joan Earnhart, Diana Feuer, Viola Pace Knudsen, Mia Lindberg, Francis Mesaros,  Michael Robinson, and Carol Staub.
