Arguments went on for hours, but the County Commission rejected John’s Island’s request for a temporary construction permit that would have created a re-use water pipeline 80 feet under the Indian River Lagoon instead of following the current route across CR510 to A1A. The vote was 3-2 with Adams, O’Bryan and Flescher voting against it, Solari and Zorc. approving.
