Clarification: Indian River County does not qualify for storm debris pick-up reimbursement as has been the case in past years. However, understanding the burden associated with cleaning up after a storm event, the County Commission voted today, October 4, 2022, to waive the tipping fees at the County Landfill for two weeks beginning today to ease the burden of yard waste clean-up. No tipping fees will be charged for those people bringing yard waste to the Landfill until 5pm (1700) on Wednesday, October 19th.
The County also has five Customer Convenience Centers that accept yard waste with no fee.
Waste Management subscribers are reminded of the option to place yard debris at the curb for pick-up according to the normal specifications; less than 3” in diameter, less than 50 pounds, and up to 4 cubic yards of vegetative debris.
Again, all municipal residents are encouraged to contact their respective municipalities for updates on debris removal.
