The Vero Beach Museum of Art is pleased to announce the inaugural 2023 juried fine art exhibition Treasure Coast Creates: A Tribute to Local Artists showcasing 135 recent works by living local artists.

Over the years, numerous artists have settled in and around the Treasure Coast. The VBMA ‘s mission is to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work generated by contemporary artists in this summer exhibition. With over 350 applicants, and over 800 artworks to consider, Juror Ellen E. Roberts, Former Harold and Anne Berkley Smith Senior Curator of American Art at the Norton Museum of Art (West Palm Beach, FL), needed additional time to select for the show. She was impressed with the quality of the submitted work and finally selected 135 works to be featured, 35 more than the anticipated 100.

To give the exhibition a curatorial structure, artwork selections were assigned one of the following six categories: Cityscape, Landscape, and Seascape; Abstract; Figurative; Photography; Sculpture, Ceramic, and 3D; Other. Winners will be announced soon.
