The Comedy Zone at Riverside Theatre on October 20 & 21

Headliner Dean Napolitano is a true storyteller with imaginative delivery that makes audiences feel as if they have been through each experience themselves.

Feature act Steve Netta has featured for some of the biggest names in comedy such as Ray Romano, Brian Regan, Rodney Carrington, Darrell Hammond, and Kathleen Madigan to name a few.

Live in the Loop at Riverside Theatre

On October 20 King’s Highway is a Rock and Party band. They bring a fun party atmosphere playing a wide variety of music and cover classics of the 60s to today’s biggest rock and dance hits.

October 21,  Join Nashville recording artist Joe Reid and Heartland playing classic country hits with a special portion featuring the music of George Strait. Joe Reid and Heartland are a traditional country group that can mix it up with some Southern and Classic rock. He has opened for many of country music artists and he has had two original songs in the top twenty on the country charts.

Riverside Theatre presents Million Dollar Quartet, October 24 – November 12

Music by Various Artists, Lyrics by Various Artists, Book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott. This Tony® Award-winning musical takes audiences back to December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins together in what became one of the most memorable nights in music. Based around that historical event, the musical recounts how these legends ended up in the same room at Sun Records in Memphis for one of the greatest impromptu rock ‘n’ roll jam sessions in history.

A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery The Best of the Best – Annual Juried Exhibition  On view through November 10. The Backus Museum is the home of the Treasure Coast’s longest continuously held juried art competition, now in its 42nd year. This well-established commitment to practicing artists results in the annual presentation, which shines its spotlight on the finest artwork, by both amateurs and professionals from around the state and in a wide variety of media. Every year, a new independent jury panel discovers “the best,” and rewards creative distinction, exceptional quality and skill, and outstanding presentation with cash prizes. Award winning Artist George Pillorgé is a retired architect who uses his keen eye for design and detail to bring images and scenes to life. The artist has said, “Pastel painting is a perfect extension of my past architectural drawing into a new expressive and colorful realm.”

The Galleries at First Pres offers Fall Art Show

VBMA presents The Infinite Variations: The Imaginative Worlds of M.C. Escher

On view through December 30. A consummate boundary-pusher and arguably the most famous printmaker of the modern era, Escher used his work to challenge perspectives, deftly exploring the relationships between art and science, reality and illusion, chaos and order, and logic and absurdity. Escher’s images pervade popular culture and fascinate audiences with their imaginative design, consummate draftsmanship, and dreamy visions.
