Melbourne Municipal Band offers Rock & Roll Revue: Monster Mash Sock Hop on October 27, 7-10pm

It’s that time of year when all the goblins and ghouls come out to party. Join us the Monster Mash Sock Hop where everyone can dance with their favorite Dracula or Frankenstein. Come in costume if you dare for the Creepy Costume Contest. Bwaaah ha ha ha! Since the Monster Mash will be at the Eau Galle Civic Center, you can bring alcohol and snacks to this event. BYOB. Riverside Theatre presents Million Dollar Quartet, performances through November 12. Music by Various Artists, Lyrics by Various Artists, Book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott. This Tony® Award-winning musical takes audiences back to December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins together in what became one of the most memorable nights in music. Based around that historical event, the musical recounts how these legends ended up in the same room at Sun Records in Memphis for one of the greatest impromptu rock ‘n’ roll jam sessions in history.

The Galleries at First Pres offers Fall Art Show

VBMA presents The Infinite Variations: The Imaginative Worlds of M.C. Escher

On view through December 30. A consummate boundary-pusher and arguably the most famous printmaker of the modern era, Escher used his work to challenge perspectives, deftly exploring the relationships between art and science, reality and illusion, chaos and order, and logic and absurdity. Escher’s images pervade popular culture and fascinate audiences with their imaginative design, consummate draftsmanship, and dreamy visions.
