Impact 100 Indian River, a dynamic all-women philanthropic organization dedicated to making a lasting impact in the community, launched its 2023-24 season with a spectacular Season Kickoff event held at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.

The event featured a captivating performance by the Gifford Youth Orchestra, a 2023 $100,000 grant recipient, setting the tone for the impactful season ahead. Diamond Sponsor, Chris Hill of The Hill Group, spoke of his firm’s long-lasting commitment to Impact 100.

Amidst the high spirits, Suzi McCoy Shriner, Impact 100 Indian River president, announced three significant milestones.

1) The membership surpassed the 500 mark for the first time!

2) The grant application process for this season resulted in a record-breaking 26 applications, showcasing the increasing demand for community support.

3) An inaugural “Thrive Together” fund drive was launched, which will provide essential financial resources to support the organization’s strategic and financial goals. Monies raised will be invested in infrastructure to accommodate membership growth and manage the increasing number of grant requests.

Even before the grant application window closed on November 1, the Impact 100 Grants committee was gearing up for the multi-step grant review process by recruiting members for its six grant panels. The grant review process begins in early December and culminates with the selection of finalists. Members will meet these potential grant recipients on March 6 at our Meet the Finalists event at the Heritage Center, and  then vote for their choices either online or at the Annual Meeting on April 17 at the Oak Harbor Club.

“More Members = More Grants = More Impact” is a driving force behind the mission of Impact 100 Indian River. Women interested in becoming a part of this impactful community initiative are encouraged to visit our website at impact100ir.com or contact membership@impact100ir.com.
